Drop Your Excuses in 2018 Series: Starting a Side Hustle on Limited Time
If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve probably already seen posts of my Drop Your Excuses in 2018 series.
Drop Your Excuses in 2018, is a 5 week series highlighting how to combat the top excuses people give to avoid starting their side hustles.
The reality is, tons of people would love to start a side hustle but challenges, excuses, etc. stand in the way and put people in a position to keep postponing the idea to the next year.
This week I’m focusing on TIME.
If it’s one thing I’ve learned over a period of time, it’s that we make time for the things we desire.
Whether it means sacrificing attending a function for a night, or cutting down the leisure time of scrolling on social media or watching tv, the point is, the time is there, you just have to create it.
Don’t get me wrong, some people are actually extremely busy and really just can’t find any time in their schedule, and that’s ok. If that’s you, the side hustle life may not be for you in this season.
But for the others, here’s a tip to starting a side hustle on limited time:
Dedicate at least an hour a day to working on your hustle. It’s not hard I promise.
I want you to take a moment to think about what you do on a daily basis. Literally, jot down what you do by the hour and see where you have idle time. Often, what seems like a ‘busy’ day to us is actually just filled with random things.
Turn your random downtime into working on your side hustle.
You can hear about the full tips I shared on this topic below, but if you’re in a hurry just check out the recap on Instagram. :-)
P.S. if you’re in the beginning/discovery stages of starting your side hustle and need some guidance, I invite you to join my Free 5 Day Challenge to Start & Launch A Profitable Side Hustle. I only make it available a few times a year so don’t miss out.
